Something I’ve found interesting as more Black people share their stories is how similar they all are over the United States and the world. I think it’s global white supremacy doing its job. While being in predominantly white spaces and sharing my story, at least, I was gaslit in that what happened to me didn’t happen to them so they thought something was wrong with me. I thought something was wrong with me.

I was comforted when I learned that it wasn’t just me, but most Black people. It doesn’t make it easier to live under white supremacy, but it makes it a little less lonely.
